Aged 12 weeks exactly.
Lily was our first child, she died in the night for unknown reasons (they are still trying to find out what was wrong with her.)
Lily was a gorgeous little girl, she was smiling and laughing the evening before she passed away and was always a happy baby, she was loved by so many people and will always be remembered and missed. Lily was born 6 weeks early and spent 2 weeks in the Special Care Baby Unit where we visited her 2 or 3 times a day, it was hard not being able to fetch her home and having to leave her there at night, although she was well looked after there. We were so happy when we could bring her home. We gave her everything that we could and she was spoiled by all of the family. When she passed away it left a big hole in our lives, it just wouldn't sink in, for days I kept expecting someone to bring her home where she belonged. The funeral was and will be the saddest day of our lives, never in a million years did we expect to be burying our child, she should have lived long after us. Although, they say that the best go first and I believe everything happens for a reason. The 12 weeks we had together were so precious and we have many happy memories that will stay with us forever. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think of Lily and never will be.
